Felt really capable having jus come back from holiday. The winds were just picking up as I arrived at about 1pm. Mike and Fred and quite a few others were already out. It looked absolutely FREEZING cold, but the water was fine. So I put my shortie on. It was very gusty at first, and difficult to plane for any length of time. An hour on the 8.5s and bigger were out blasting back and forth. Saw Colin rig his 7.5. But the advice was it was going to pick up again, so I stuck it out. Soon the big sails all disappeared and I was getting overpowered by 4pm, got some nice jumps and did loads of dry gybes, if not the best quality. Saw Mike do some good ducks. This wind was a treat.
